LES MILLS REFORMER classes are available for a $5 booking fee.
Since launching in September 2025, LES MILLS REFORMER classes have been free, with the understanding that a booking fee would be introduced over time.
The booking fee helps us better manage demand, reduce unattended bookings, and ensure reformer beds are freed up when plans change so others can book. The fee supports fair access for more members and help us deliver a consistently high-quality reformer experience.
Yes. The $5 booking fee applies to all members booking LES MILLS REFORMER classes, regardless of membership type.
Cancellations made by you within 12 hours of the class are non-refundable. Paid classes cancelled by Les Mills will be refunded.
When you add a debit or credit card for the first time on the Les Mills app, a $1 pre-authorisation is placed on your card by the bank to ensure it's valid. This isn't a charge and will automatically be released by your bank within a few business days.
This only happens the first time a new card is used, so next time you book into LES MILLS REFORMER, you'll only see the $5 booking fee charged before your class.
No. Your membership still gives you access to world-class group fitness, gym floor, recovery spaces, and other club facilities.
The booking fee applies only to this specific premium programme and helps ensure access is fair, consistent, and well-managed.
If you cancel your booking before the 12-hour cancellation window, the booking fee will not be charged. Cancellations made by you within 12 hours of the class are non-refundable. Paid classes cancelled by Les Mills will be refunded.
If you're unable to book into a LES MILLS REFORMER class, it's likely because your Les Mills app isn't updated to the latest version.
An app update is required to support the new booking fee payment process. Once your app is updated, you'll be able to add a payment method and complete your booking as usual.
If you've updated the app and are still having trouble, please speak to our club team or contact [email protected] for support.
You can speak to our club teams, check the Les Mills app, or check back on our website for full booking and cancellation policies.
Reformer pilates builds full-body strength, improves posture, and increases flexibility — all through controlled, resistance-based movement. Because the reformer supports your body weight while adding spring resistance, it's particularly effective for core strength, injury rehabilitation, and building functional muscle without high-impact stress on your joints. It's the kind of training you feel working, without feeling wrecked the next day.
Newmarket's Mind Body Studio is a Les Mills first, complete with 23 reformer Pilates beds. The studio is thoughtfully designed to cater to our Yoga and Pilates offerings.
The Mind Body Studio is accessible from within our Newmarket club, through the doors at the far end of the Functional Studio, across the airbridge on the top floor.

Yes, grip socks are required for all LES MILLS REFORMER classes. They not only keep you safe and secure when standing on the beds. If you don’t have a pair, you can pick some up at reception for $5.
It depends on how you use it. The reformer adds resistance and range of motion that mat pilates can't replicate, which means the ceiling for challenge is higher. But the support the machine provides also makes certain movements more accessible for beginners or those recovering from injury. In short: it can be more challenging, but it's also more adaptable. LES MILLS REFORMER is designed so both answers are true at once.
Cancellations more than 12 hours prior to the class start time won't be charged the $5 booking fee.
Cancellations within the 12 hours of the class will forfeit the booking fee, and those within 30 minutes of the class may limit your future bookings.
Paid classes cancelled by Les Mills will be refunded.
LES MILLS REFORMER classes are in high demand. Our booking policy helps keep things fair and ensures equal access for all members. Please cancel with plenty of notice so others have the opportunity to attend.
Not at all — and that's by design. LES MILLS REFORMER has been built for all fitness levels. The reformer machine's adjustable springs mean every movement can be progressed or regressed to suit where you're at. Your instructor will guide you through the class, so you don't need to know anything coming in. The most important thing you can bring is curiosity.
Mat pilates - like LES MILLS PILATES - uses your bodyweight and gravity as resistance. Reformer pilates adds a machine: a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, and anchor points that create resistance and support simultaneously. This makes reformer exercises more versatile - you can increase or decrease the challenge, making it accessible for beginners and genuinely demanding for experienced movers. Think of mat pilates as the foundation; reformer pilates as the next dimension.
We're excited to bring the Allegro 2 Reformer Pilates bed to our studio! Known for its smooth glide, intuitive design, and user-friendly features, the Allegro 2 makes Reformer Pilates more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Whether you're new to Pilates or a seasoned pro, adjustable settings allow for a customised experience, so you can challenge yourself at your pace.
Workout towels are compulsory, and we suggest you bring a drink bottle to stay hydrated. Yoga mats will be available for use. Please remove all footwear when in the studio foyer and place belongings in a cubby hole to the left. Grip socks are mandatory for LES MILLS REFORMER to keep you safe and secure when standing on the beds. If you don’t have a pair, you can pick some up at reception for $5.
LES MILLS REFORMER is not recommended after first trimester pregnancy. For first trimester participants, there are two wedges available for use on the reformer beds.
