FAQS

What’s coming to Taranaki Street?

We’re adding a dedicated recovery space featuring larger saunas and cold plunge pools, in each of the men's and women's changing rooms, designed to support your recovery, circulation, and post-training reset.

When is works expected to commence?

Works are expected to begin in March. We will let you know when dates are confirmed.

Why are we building this?

Member feedback consistently highlighted the need for a larger sauna space. This upgrade delivers more access, more space, and better recovery facilities.

What are the benefits of the cold plunge pools?

Cold plunges offer benefits like faster muscle recovery by reducing inflammation and soreness, enhanced mental health through mood-boosting endorphins and stress resilience, a stronger immune system, and improved circulation.

Will this affect my access to the club?

The club will remain open while these works happen. Only specific areas will be adapted during the build, and we’ll communicate any temporary changes clearly in advance. A few showers in each changing room will be out of order during the works (to allow contractors to be able to work in both areas during normal working hours to complete works faster). There will be hoarding up blocking off the construction zone.

Will I still be able to use the sauna while works are underway?

No, the saunas will be out of action during the duration of the works.

When will the new recovery spaces be open?

Likely reopening in July or August 2026. We’ll keep members informed via email, app notifications, and in-club updates as soon as dates are confirmed.

Is there an extra cost to use these new spaces?

No, these spaces will be free for all members as part of your membership.

Will there be any noise or disruption?

There may be some typical construction noise at times. We’re scheduling works to reduce impact during peak club hours and will keep members updated on what to expect.

How can I stay informed of progress?

We’ll share progress updates via email, Les Mills NZ app notifications, and notices in-club so you always know what’s happening and when.

Who can I talk to if I have questions?

Our club team is here to help. Pop into reception or ask a team member anytime if you have questions during the build.
