Sarah Shortt

Consistency beats talent.

About Sarah

Known to her friends as "Shortty", Sarah has been in the fitness industry since 2008. She specialises in helping people (particularly group fitness addicts) to start lifting weights, gain strength, and feel confident on the gym floor. She is particularly known for helping women over 40 improve confidence, build strength, and help everything to "feel tighter"!

Nicknamed the "smiling assassin" for her friendly - yet effective - style of motivation, Sarah is an empathetic coach. She lives by her late mother's words, "Never stop moving", and firmly believes that exercise should be fun.

Outside of training, Sarah has worked for Les Mills International since 2013, involved in fitness research, writing fitness articles, and developing education for instructors around the globe. She is obsessed with the "why" around movements, and is dedicated to helping people move with great technique.

Sarah is also a bookworm, with a Masters in Creative Writing and a BA in English Literature. She has an unofficial book club with her clients and loves to swap tips for novels!

When she's not on the gym floor, you can find her teaching CEREMONY, LES MILLS GRIT, BODYPUMP or BODYATTACK, writing her next novel, or curled up with a coffee and a book. Otherwise she'll be at the CrossFit box working on her lifting and gymnastics skills!
