About Nathan

My journey into fitness started during a time when I was searching for connection, confidence, and purpose. After moving to Wellington, NZ without knowing anyone, group fitness classes became my safe space. They gave me a sense of community and comfort in what felt like a completely unknown place. At the time, I wanted to lose weight, but more than that, I wanted to belong.

What began as attending classes quickly turned into teaching them. I discovered how powerful movement and encouragement could be—not just physically, but mentally. Teaching became my outlet, my confidence-builder, and eventually my path into personal training. With over 10 years of experience teaching dance, fitness allowed me to continue expressing creativity through another form of art while helping others feel strong and capable in their bodies.

My coaching style is best described as personality plus. I love to joke around, have a laugh, and create an environment where people feel comfortable being themselves—but I also know when it’s time to train hard and push for results. Sessions are fun, supportive, and challenging in all the right ways.

Having once been absolutely terrified of the gym floor myself, I’m especially passionate about helping people build confidence—both mentally and physically—through weight training and group classes. If you’ve ever felt gym anxiety or unsure where to start, you’re exactly the kind of person I love working with.

What sets me apart is the genuine trust I build with my clients. I truly care about the people I train and aim to make everyone feel confident, supported, and at their absolute best (or at least laughing while trying). My goal is for every person I coach to feel safe, strong, and proud of what they’re capable of.
