Years later I was in the best shape of my life, but more critical of myself and my body than ever. I held myself to impossibly high standards, constantly compared myself to others, and was rarely happy. I learned the hard way that wellbeing is much more than physical fitness and what I saw in the mirror. 

Whether your goals are strength, weight loss or muscle gain — harsh self-criticism, excessive pressure, and needing results yesterday are obstacles many of us face and can make this journey more difficult than it needs to be.
