From 13 August we will begin the final stage of refreshing our women's gym.

The gym will be closed during the works.

What is happening?

The Women’s gym is getting a refresh with new paint, new flooring and some new equipment.

When will the work start?

The works are set to kick off on 13 August and will take approximately 5 weeks to complete. 

How long will the works take?

We anticipate it will take approximately five weeks to be completed, all going to plan. We’ll keep you updated on progress along the way, via signage. 

Will I still be able to work out in the Women’s Gym during the renovation?

For safety reasons, members will not be able to use the Women’s Gym for the duration of the works.

Are the Women's Gym Treadmills being replaced?

We will be replacing the Treadmills next year. 

Will the Women’s Gym be getting any Dual Cable Machines?

Yes, we’re aiming to put 3 new Dual Cable Machines into the women’s gym late this year.  

Will the Women’s Gym be getting a Hip Adductor/Abductor Machine?

Yes, a new Hip Abductor/Adductor will be available in the women’s gym when we reopen after the renovation is complete.

Which areas will be closed during the works?

The entire women’s gym will be closed for the duration of the works.

Where will I be able to train while the women’s gym is undergoing renovation?

The main gym floor and Functional gym (old Grit studio) will still be available for training. We will be relocating some of the pin loaded equipment from the Women’s Gym into the Functional Gym area (old GRIT studio) during the renovation period. We’ll be putting dumbbells and benches onto the upper mezzanine area as an alternative training area. 

Can I train at another Les Mills club that has a Women’s only gym?

Our New Lynn Les Mills gym has a dedicated Women’s Gym floor.  All Auckland City single club members are welcome to train at New Lynn for the duration of the renovation. Let our reception team know so that they can set you up with a temporary multi-club membership for the duration of the renovation.  

Are there any Women’s Only spaces available to train?

We will be creating some Women’s Only training time in Studio 2. Details to come soon. 

I don’t know where all the equipment is on the gym floor. Is there somewhere I can find out?

Our team is putting together a floor map of the main gym floor. Watch this space for a map to appear.
