The Format:


You’ll take on nine high-intensity exercises using familiar CEREMONY movements and equipment – chasing maximum reps and distances in each sequence. 


It’s designed to test your limits, but the workouts are scalable for all fitness levels – so everyone can get involved. Go solo, team up as a duo, or bring your crew and take it on as a team of four.

What is CEREMONY GAMES?

CEREMONY GAMES is a fun way to let your competitive spirit shine. Inspired by popular fitness events like Hyrox and Redline, the event is based on our LES MILLS CEREMONY circuit workouts, featuring the best elements of the high-energy training with camaraderie and challenge. With tiered entrant groups, it’s designed to accommodate different fitness levels – so everyone can get involved, push their limits and achieve their personal best.

Who can participate?

This event is open to all Les Mills members, is designed for the Everyday Athlete and is designed to accommodate a wide range of fitness levels.
Non-members can participant in Duo and Team categories when registering with a current Les Mills member. Non-members will be required to complete a Health and Safety waiver prior to event day. Entrance to the CEREMONY GAMES does not include access to gym facilities or special simulation CEREMONY GAMES classes.  

When and where will the event take place?

 The event will take place on Saturday 2 May at Les Mills Auckland City. Specific start times and venue details will be provided upon registration. 

What is the event format?

The CEREMONY Games is inspired by the structure and energy of our popular CEREMONY classes. Participants will take on a circuit of exercises, utilising equipment and movements familiar to our regular class attendees. The event combines the dynamic flow of CEREMONY workouts with an added competitive edge. 

Each participant will aim to complete high repetitions of each exercise while covering varying distances in a set sequence. The format is designed to challenge strength, endurance, and overall fitness, with exercises scalable to accommodate all fitness levels.  

Can I register as a team?

Yes, following feedback from our first event we have introduced our Competition Plus category which can be joined as a team of 4.

What is the registration deadline?

Registrations will close on 25 April 2026 – unless all places are sold out prior. Register now to avoid disappointment.

What should I bring on event day?

Participants will need to bring themselves, a towel, and a drink bottle. We also recommend wearing comfortable, workout-appropriate clothing and footwear to ensure you can move freely and safely.  
Most importantly, come with plenty of energy and enthusiasm!

What is the event schedule?

The event schedule will be circulated closer to the date once registrations close.

Will there be event staff to assist during the competition?

Yes! Our team will be onsite to help on the day, you will also have an event judge alongside you during the workout to ensure workout protocols are met for each exercise.

Do I need to be extremely fit to participate?

No! This event is designed for the Everday Athlete and is designed to accommodate a wide range of fitness levels. There are multiple categories, so you can compete against others at your level. It’s about pushing yourself and having fun, regardless of your starting point.

Can I train for the event at the gym?

Absolutely! As part of your registration participants receive a training guide to prepare you for success on the day and have opportunities to practice the workout with other competitors in the lead up to the event. 

Are there any specific exercises I should be focusing on?

What is the event scoring system?

Participants will be individually timed.

Are there any rules I should be aware of?

Please see our exercise protocols document here for full details on how judges will quality check each exercise.

What happens if I can't complete an exercise?

If you cannot complete an exercise you can move onto the next, however you will be scored the maximum time cap for that exercise for non-completion.

How will I receive my results?

We are working an external time-keeping provider, results will be posted online following the event and will be circulated via email for your records.

Can I get a refund if I can’t participate after registering?

If you can no longer participate, you can request a refund up to 7 days before the event. Any cancellations within 7 days of the event will not be accepted. Please note that admin and processing fees are non-refundable. 

I want to complete with someone who is not a Les Mills member?

Duo/Team registrations are available to non-Les Mills members. Any entrant who is not a Les Mills member will need to complete a Health & Safety Waiver before game day. Entrance to the CEREMONY GAMES does not include access to gym facilities or special simulation CEREMONY GAMES classes.  

I want to trial the workout and get some tips and tricks from Head Coaches?

Special simulation CEREMONY GAMES training and trial sessions are being added to the timetable at select Les Mills clubs in the lead-up to the games. Keep an eye on the timetable and reserve your spot!  

When will I receive my 8-week training program?

Once you have successfully registered, the 8-week training program and exercise protocols will be emailed to you.
