Discipline builds freedom, and consistency beats intensity

About Libby

My relationship with exercise didn’t start in the healthiest place. Coming from a background in competitive cheerleading, so much of that environment was centred on body image and appearance. Training often felt like it was about how you looked, not how you felt or what you could actually do. That mindset stuck with me for a long time. There were periods where I pulled back from movement altogether, and times where I wasn’t fuelling myself properly. It took a toll on my health, my confidence, and even my day-to-day energy.

Everything shifted when I found resistance training. For the first time, I experienced what it meant to follow a structured program, to train progressively, and to see strength build over time. My focus moved away from aesthetics and towards performance. I started caring more about what my body was capable of than how it compared to anyone else’s. Now, training is how I look after myself. It’s not about chasing a certain image. It’s about showing up, being consistent, and building strength that carries over into real life. It’s about feeling capable, resilient, and well.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping others build a healthier relationship with movement. I want people to feel strong and confident in the gym, so they can move through everyday life with more energy and ease. Exercise shouldn’t feel like punishment or pressure it should feel like something that supports you, for life.
