FAQS

Taranaki Water Works

What is the Wellington Water Project?

Wellinton Water and the Wellington City Council is in the process of upgrading a large wastewater pump on Taranaki St. This is being done to support the infrastructure of Te Aro and avoid overspills into the harbour. This is the largest upgrade to the city's wastewater infrastructure in more than 50 years!

What does this mean for me?

We’ll be using our new club entrance located just around the corner on Egmont Street. Or if you use our carpark building, you’ll be able to get direct access into the building.

Can I still go to the gym during this upgrade?

Absolutely! The whole gym will still be open for business during these updates.

When does this project start and how long will it take?

The works kicked off in June 2022 and are expected to take 18 months to complete. We'll keep you posted on any developments.

Where can I be kept up to date?

This page will be your go-to to keep yourself in the loop with these changes at the club. We'll also be keeping you up to date via email and app notifications so make sure we’ve got your current e-mail address and switch on notifications on the Les Mills app.
