Optimal health and fitness isn't about how you 'look' but has everything to do with how you move, feel and participate in life.

About Bindi

I believe that as we age maintaining physical strength and power is essential for quality and quantity of life. Just like anything of value however, there are no short-cuts so I’m here to help you with your long game! Genuine well-being takes time, commitment, a support plan and often most importantly, a good sense of humour!

I grew up playing and loving all sports but specifically tennis. I was athletic enough to be featured throughout the top 10 NZ age group play and then continuing on to a 4-year College Tennis scholarship in Washington. I completed my bachelor’s qualification, then back in New Zealand, completed my Masters and PHD.

Since then, I have juggled life, as we all do, raising two beautiful teenage daughters whilst trying to model positive body image and healthy ageing - all much easier said than done! Turning 50, I discovered that menopause was at my doorstep and I had actually been experiencing peri menopause for a few years already. That would explain some of the changes I was feeling in my body and that made me quickly realise I needed to more actively prioritise my health.

Embarking on my own journey through this phase of life and training, I felt compelled to help others on theirs' as well. So I enrolled to study as a Personal Trainer with a focus on females 40 and above.

Now I provide personalised training programs for females entering, or, in the trenches of, menopause. I understand the sensitivities of women at this later stage, so won’t judge or pressure you in any way. My focus is on building ‘structural balance’ within the body through strength, fitness, agility work and jump training (Yes, we can still jump ladies! In fact, it’s actually pretty good for us!), specifically improving how you move and feel. This leads to a greater sense of wellbeing and independent, pain free movement as we age. You don't have to write this time of your life off/out, we CAN have quality and quantity.
