5 Benefits of Having a Workout Buddy
After trialing hundreds of fitness ideas and new trends as a health writer for magazines and newspapers over the years, I’ve discovered some secrets to keeping fit – and staying fit.
One of the biggest secrets to keeping fit is having a workout
buddy - or lots of workout buddies. There's even an app in NZ
that helps you find a workout buddy if you need one. So, there are
no excuses for exercising solo (unless you prefer to do so).
Here are five benefits of having a workout buddy:
- They will motivate you to keep going and to not give up. A
buddy will cheer you on to find focus and to keep striving to be

- You will hold each other accountable. When you are tempted to
hit that snooze button in the morning, or skip that workout after
