Clean Pear And Apple Crumble

This dessert is clean, quick and delicious. Forget the sugar, the fruit are sweet enough and your waistline will thank you for it! Lastly, ditch the ice cream and top it off with a drizzle of chia seeds.




  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 3/4 cup scroggin (apricot, cranberries, almonds, brazil nuts & walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup spelt flour
  • 15g butter, softened
  • 5 pears
  • 2 apples
  • 1 tsp cornflower



  • Prepare a suitable dish and lightly grease the bottom and sides
  • Pre heat oven to 180 degrees
  • Blend scroggin in a food processor (you can chop them if you don't have one)
  • Mix all dry ingredients, butter and scroggin into a bowl
  • Put pears and apples into a pot with enough water to just cover the fruit and slightly cook
  • Add cornflower to thicken
  • Drain fruit and add to prepared dish
  • Top with the dry mix on top
  • Bake on 180 degrees for around 15-20 minutes
  • Let cool slightly and then serve with chia or your favourite topping
