Kids World

Welcome to Kids World Hutt City.

We offer Les Mills members a top quality Early Childhood Education (ECE) Service. For more information and a free introduction visit to settle-in your child please phone to arrange for a suitable time. We welcome all inquiries.

Our Philosophy

We aim to provide a caring and stimulating environment, which enhances children's learning and development, encourages their curiosity and independent exploration and positively informs your child's self-esteem as a foundation for their life.

While you are working out you can be assured that your child will be having fun and is supported by professional teachers in their development and learning.

Staff/Children Ratio

We are a sessional centre. Our fullly licensed ECE service allows us to take up to 10 children under the age of two from as young as 6 weeks and up to 14 children over the age of two years. Once a child turns 6 they are classed school-aged children and can therefore not attend.

We operate under the following ratios:

Under 2 year old children - 1 Adult : 5 Children.
Over 2 year old children - 1 Adult : 8 children

Fees

For all bookings you are required to have at least 2 tickets per child on your KidsWorld Hutt City account.  Prior to your child's attendance a Kids World Hutt City 10 concession card or individual tickets must be purchased no later than 8am on the day of your child's booking. These are purchased at reception. Several payment options are available including on-line payments.  Please bring your named receipt as proof of purchase to the KidsWorld manager.

Only caregivers with more than one child attending regularly per week are eligible for the reduced family concession card.

Prices effective from June 1, 2017:

$16.00 casual payment
$120.00 prepaid 10 concession
$100.00 prepaid 10 family concession

Enrolment & Daily Register

It is important and a Ministry of Education requirement for funding purposes that caregivers sign into our day sheet on arrival, and again with time out when picking up their child/children. You will also need to give us your location within the Gym. This information is needed for emergency purposes.

Immunisation & Identification

We are required to view your child's birth certificate or passport as well as to keep an Immunisation Register for all children. This means we must see your child's Immunisation Certificate and a form of identification on enrolment. The immunisation record is found on the back of the Well Child - Tamariki Ora Health Book. We will ask you again when your child is 15 months and again when 4 years old. If you do not choose to immunise we are still required to see a signed certificate from your Doctor or Practice Nurse.  All information is kept confidential.

Booking In

Bookings for casual and permanent places are essential and depend on availability.

Initially, you are required to make contact with the Kids World manager. She will initiate a free enrolment visit which will also help your child to settle in. This visit is also designed to share information, allow you to look around, experience KW and learn about our payment options and booking structure.

Please be aware that casual bookings may not guarantee your child the same space at KW each week. Permanent bookings do and they guarantee you your regular workout.

Due to Ministry of Education requirements a child is only allowed to be booked into one session per day at KW.

Absences & Cancellations

You need not phone us once you are booked in. However, if your child will not be able to attend their booking you must phone to cancel no later than 8:00am of that day. Failure to do so means we will have to charge you for that session and we are not able to offer the booking to anyone casual on the waiting list.

Daily cancellations are made over the KidsWorld Hutt City phone line DD 589-2366.

Cancellations of permanent bookings due to sickness, holiday etc. require a written note on your return. A generic form for you to fill out can be found on the signing-in table.

Should there be prolonged absences over 21 days, or 50% per month of your permanent booking  KidsWorld management is required by the Ministry of Education to review your permanent bookings as it may impact on our eligibility for government funding.

Should you need to stop your permanent bookings please give us one week notice. However, Kids World Manager will endeavour to accommodate your changing needs if at all possible.
