Kids World

Kids World strives to be a centre where children and parents feel comfortable and confident being a part of an environment that reflects a “homely feel” that will empower them with a sense of well-being and belonging.

Children will be identified as individuals by letting them take responsibility and leadership of their own learning and decision making and be encouraged to problem solve and participate in new experiences.  Children will also be provided with equal opportunities to learn real life skills.

By simplifying the environment and taking away the restrictions of equipment such as exersaucers that prohibit babies freedom of movement, Kids World will empower babies to explore the environment at their own pace and abilities.

Our Philosophy

We incorporate Te Whāriki (the Early Childhood Curriculum) and recognise and support the importance of the integration of Te Reo and Tikanga Māori into our every day programme and teaching practices.

Kids World values and encourages the importance of open communication between parents and staff as well as among the Kids World team.

Kids World recognises and supports the ongoing process of learning and development of their teachers through regular PLD (Professional Learning Development).

"As Eckhart Tolle says, the deep knowing that is wisdom arises from the simple act of paying something (or someone) your full attention", Dance with me in the Heart, Pennie Brownlee, p.30.
