We offer Les Mills members a warm and welcoming environment for all family/whanau. Please feel free to come in and meet our friendly staff and view our fun filled centre. We welcome all enquires.
Our Philosophy
At Les Mills Kids Club we provide a nurturing and stimulating educational environment that allows children to explore and engage in experiences that they plan and carry out. We facilitate the learning of all our children by promoting and acknowledging the children’s individual interests, strengths, self-esteem and confidence.
We follow Te Wharaki – The National Early Childhood Curriculum which focuses on the principals of learning and development: relationships, family, whanau and community, empowerment and holistic development. Through this our children enjoy a sense of well-being and belonging and have opportunities to explore, communicate and contribute.
As professional educators, we aim to deliver a programme that meets all our children’s needs. These opportunities will be inclusive of all children and are not limited by age, gender, ethnicity, abilities/strengths or background.
We are committed to the principals of Te Titiriti O Waitangi, while at the same time embracing the values and customs of the other ethnic groups within our diverse community.
Booking In
As we are a free service to our members, it is essential that you book your child into Kids Club. We take booking up to one week in advance (e.g. On Tuesday you may book up to and including the following Tuesday. Bookings are taken at reception from 6.30am or during Kids Club hours, 9am – 1pm. If you cannot get into your required session you may go onto a waiting list.
Due to policy and Ministry of Education requirements, a child is only allowed to be booked into one session per day at Les Mills Kids Club
Cancellations
Please ensure you cancel your session at least 2 hours before the session is scheduled, to allow us sufficient time to clear any waiting list. Cancellations can be made at reception from 6.30am onwards or during Kids Club opening hours.
Age Range
We take children from the age of 8 weeks up to the age of 5. We have a designated Under 2 area within our centre. If you would like your baby to sleep while they are in our care, cots are available.
Licensing and Staff/Children Ratios
Les Mills Kids Club is licensed to accommodate up to 10 Children under the age of two and up to 13 children over the age of two years. We work hard to provide your child with a caring, stimulating and educational environment. Our staff are qualified to care and supervise your child within the following ratios:
Under 2 year old children – 1 Adult : 5 Children
Over 2 years old children – 1 Adult : 6 Children
