The BeST Design Awards are a national award programme of the Designers
Institute of New Zealand, recognising New Zealand's best graphic, product
and spatial design. The judges comments about Les Mills Hutt City were "A
dynamic space, clear planning and design combined with vibrant use of clear
colours. The designers and client are congratulated on a bold solution
breathing new life into an existing building and promoting environmentally
sustainable design best practice."
